  • Hempel’s Infinity represents a revolution in the Yacht paints industry, delivering continuous unmatched performance, resulting in time, work and cost savings for boat owners and applicators.
  • Hempel’s Infinity builds on the proven success of Hempel’s market-leading, biocide-free silicone systems, launched more than 10 years ago, and can exclusively be used as a recharger for Hempel’s Silic One and Hempasil Pro.
  • Hempel’s Infinity is a game changer for boat owners and applicators, in line with Hempel’s sustainability ambitions.

METSTRADE, Amsterdam: Hempel A/S introduces the world’s first and only underwater performance recharger, exclusively for Hempel’s silicone systems for yachts. Simply applied on top of an existing Hempel silicone finish at the scheduled maintenance interval, Hempel’s Infinity extends the silicone performance of the hull coating for an extra season. Hempel’s Infinity removes the need for repainting, resulting in less work, lower overall costs and less paint used, allowing for more time on the water.

“Hempel’s Infinity is our most significant innovation in the Yacht sector since the launch of Hempel’s Silic One back in 2012,” says Thomas Olsen, Marketing Director – Yacht at Hempel A/S. “It has been designed with boat owners’ time and money in mind, enabling them to maintain performance excellence year after year, in a more sustainable way. I am excited to introduce this ground-breaking innovation and look forward to following its success and impact in the market.”

Hempel’s Infinity has an easy application method, requiring no sanding, masking or painting. The underwater area needs to be clean and dry before Hempel’s Infinity is applied to the whole underwater surface. After a minimum of 24 hours’ activation time, Hempel’s Infinity is then rinsed off with fresh water and the boat is ready for another sailing season, in half of the time it takes to apply conventional antifouling.

The patented technology in Hempel’s Infinity has been developed to recharge the hydrogel in Hempel’s silicone systems for the Yacht market. Hempel’s Infinity will be available in 2.4 litre size and is suitable for both DIY and Pro usage in the EU, with North America to follow.
